Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit 8.70 brings logical acquisition support for all generations of Apple Watch starting from Apple Watch Series 6 all the way up to the latest Ultra 2. In addition, the low-level extraction agent can now be installed completely offline with any Apple Developer account regardless of its age.

The latest update to Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit brings offline installation of the low-level extraction agent and enhanced logical acquisition options for the latest generations of Apple Watch devices. This release continues our commitment to providing forensic specialists with the most reliable and versatile tools for extracting critical mobile evidence.

Offline installation of the extraction agent with all developer accounts

We’ve improved the usability of agent-based acquisition by enabling offline installation with all Apple developer accounts, regardless of their age. This change removes the previous limitation that required either a grandfathered Apple account registered before June 6, 2021, or demanded the use of a firewall. This update makes using the extraction agent more flexible and straightforward, requiring no Internet connection to install and run the extraction agent with any Apple account enrolled in Apple’s Developer Program – no matter its age.

Logical acquisition support for Apple Watch Series 6

Logical extraction capabilities have been extended to include the Apple Watch Series 6. Experts can use existing third-party adapters to connect the watch to the computer.

Wireless logical acquisition for Apple Watch S7 through S10, SE2, and Ultra Models

This update also introduces logical acquisition support for the latest Apple Watch models. Starting with Series 7, Apple Watch devices no longer had a wired access port, switching to a near-field wireless protocol for debugging and communicating with a PC. Starting with iOS Forensic Toolkit 8.70, the latest generations of Apple Watch devices including Series 7 through 10, SE2, Ultra, and Ultra 2 can now be connected and extracted via a wireless third-party adapter.

Other improvements

Finally, we’ve added support for iOS/iPadOS 15.8.4 and 16.7.11, and fixed several small issues reported by our users.
